A lot of people seem to think the first generation CLS looks dated. Those people are wrong. It looks beautiful.

It’s the rear. It’s most definitely a love it or hate it rear.

Yes. A neighbor has a 2008 CLS63 in white. Looks really nice.
I think the thing is: if they are clean and well maintained they look great.
If they are neglected they look awful.

I still love the rear, but those headlights just kill the entire front for me. They’re just awful, amorphous blobs.

I think the original CLS AMG looks better than the current car. The only problem is the front end on the non-AMG version looks derpy.

I agree, but it’s not just the rear for me. I don’t like the front, and from the side it looks like it’s melted to me.

The first gen. CLS is the best looking 4 for “coupe”.

I prefer the first generation. I love the clean trunk lines that they changed in the later generations.

I’d say that most of them look pretty dated...mostly due to their owners. These have gone down the same path the 7-Series usually goes down!
